Self Drive – Safari Tour of the Boyne Valley
Tour Duration : 8 Hours Suitability : All Max Cars : 4
Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Derek Smith and I have been an award-winning Tour Guide in Ireland for the past 12 years.
I grew up exploring many amazing sites around The Boyne Valley and still live in the majestic county of Meath today. Like so many people, I am really looking forward to getting out and exploring again!
I have created an exciting new 'Safari Tour' of The Boyne Valley, combining amazing artisan produce, locally made crafts and an array of breathtaking historical sites.
The Safari Tour will take in much of what The Boyne Valley has to offer. I will bring you to visit local food producers where you'll have an opportunity to try some wonderful samples. You'll explore a Nature Trail, bringing you through the history of bees and then taste some delicious, locally produced honey.
Together we will visit some amazing historical sites and I will guide you through their history, sharing myths and legends along the way.
With my indepth local knowledge of the area, I will show you the best the historical Boyne Valley has to offer in conjunction with the finest local food producers and stunning local crafts.
Throughout the Safari Tour, I will lead the way with participants following in their vehicles. I will provide Walkie-Talkies so that anyone on the tour can ask me questions as we travel through the breathtaking beauty of The Boyne Valley.
The fun doesn't stop there, you will also enjoy a Treasure Hunt on the day! Discover where dragons, snakes, gargoyles and monsters hide with a special prize up for grabs. Don't worry though, you will not be in any danger from any of the above!
